The Pensacola Pelicans hammered out 15 hits and scored 11 runs as they won 11-8 in the third game of a three game series against the El Paso Diablos.
In the top half of the third inning the scoring started for the Pelicans, when Ricardo Cordova hit his first home run of the season to give the Pels a 2-0 lead.
The Pelicans would score in each of the next four innings. The big inning was the top of the fourth when they scored four runs with two outs capped off by a Brandon Sing two run double.
The Diablos stayed in the ball game scoring two runs in each of the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Dustin Cameron shut the door for the Pelicans coming into the ball game in the seventh inning pitching 2.1 innings to record his eighth save.
Zach Cline picked up his second win of the season.
The Pelicans are off tomorrow and then will start a three game series with the Fort Worth Cats in Pensacola on Tuesday at 6:35 pm.
